  • Additional Description of the Integrated Cooling Unit Package

One of the best options for summer and winter air conditioning for various applications is the package unit. With the help of the heating and cooling package unit, in addition to providing the required air temperature for the ventilated space, air can be purified and positive pressure can be created. The package unit is used for the air conditioning of office buildings, clean rooms, cultural and recreational centers, medical facilities, and educational institutions. The package unit consists of two main parts: the air handling unit and the condensing unit, where the condensing unit is responsible for producing cold air, and the air handling unit provides the required air for ventilation. It should also be noted that for winter air conditioning, the air handling unit is equipped with a hot water coil, which is supplied by a boiler. The package unit with low to medium capacity for air supply and cooling is referred to as a rooftop package, and there is no structural difference from the package unit; in fact, the rooftop package is a type of package unit.

  • Components of the Airfill Package Unit

As mentioned, the package unit is a type of air conditioning system that combines a chiller and an air handler. This device can serve as the main source of heating and cooling for buildings and can effectively control the humidity of the environment. The components of the package unit consist of a chiller and an air handler that are located together in one package. Depending on the location of this device, it is also referred to as a rooftop package.

    Compressor

This part of the package unit is responsible for compressing the refrigerant. Generally, scroll compressors are used in this air conditioning system because the capacity of most products in this category ranges from 10 to 30 tons of refrigeration. However, if there is a need to produce rooftop units with higher capacities, screw compressors will be used instead. When the refrigerant is compressed in the compressor and its temperature and pressure increase, it enters the next section, which is the condenser.

    Condenser

Another component of the rooftop package unit is the condenser, which can be designed in two forms: water-cooled and air-cooled. Due to the lower capacities of rooftop systems, air-cooled condensers are often used so that there is no need for a cooling tower for water circulation, and with less cost, the temperature of the outgoing gas decreases.
